Privacy

Stats is a private tool with one user, its owner, for the owner's own YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts. This page explains what it stores, why, for how long, and how the data is deleted.

What Stats stores

• For each connected account: the platform's account ID, the handle, the display name and the follower count over time.
• For each video of those accounts: its ID, link, title, caption or description, duration, size, publication and schedule times, and its statistics over time, such as views, likes, comments, shares, saves, reach and watch time, plus YouTube Analytics reports such as where views came from and top countries.
• The access tokens the platforms issue for these accounts, encrypted.
• The owner's projects: a name and a short web address for each, and which accounts belong to it.
• Pairings: which posts on different platforms are the same video, whether Stats paired them or the owner did, and the owner's “same video” or “not the same” answers to suggested pairs.
• For each export key the owner creates: its name, a hash of the key (never the key itself), when it was created, when and from which IP address it was last used, and when it was revoked.
• For logging in: the owner's username, a hash of the password, the encrypted secret of the second factor, the active sessions with the browser's name, and failed login attempts with their IP address for one day.

Why

Only to show the owner how their own videos perform over time, and to let the owner's own scripts read these numbers through a private, read-only export. The data is not sold, not shared with anyone, not used for advertising and not combined with data from other sources.

How long

• An account's data is kept while the account is connected. Removing the account in Setup deletes its data at once.
• YouTube data about a video is deleted when the video is deleted on YouTube, and an account's YouTube data is deleted when Stats has had no access to it for 30 days.
• The history of updates is kept for 90 days, backups for 14 days.

Cookies

Stats sets two cookies. One keeps the owner logged in; it ends 30 days after the last visit, or at logout. The other protects the login form; it is set when the login page opens and lasts one day. There are no tracking or analytics cookies.

YouTube, TikTok and Instagram

Stats uses the YouTube API Services. Connecting a YouTube account means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's handling of the data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time on Google's security settings page, and in the TikTok and Instagram settings for connected apps.
